We designed our new Slimline AR-15 Handguards to solve several problems that we found with every other handguard on the market. Our patent pending aluminum barrel nut can quickly and easily be installed without the need to be indexed/timed. Simply slide it over the barrel and quickly torque it to 40-50 ft lbs. (No need for shims, extra sleeves, or over tightening for alignment.) After the barrel nut, gas tube or piston, and muzzle device are installed you easily slide the handguard over the barrel and barrel nut and tighten six set screws to automatically align and lock in place. The Artisan Defense Ultra-Lite Free Float Handguard is designed to fit Mil-Spec upper receivers or aftermarket receivers machined to Mil-Spec dimensions at the barrel nut shoulder. Built-in anti-rotation features of handguard automatically engage upper receiver. (Some custom upper receivers may require slight gunsmithing of the anti-rotation features of the handguard to allow for proper fit.)

    - 9.7" in length. 1.34" ID

    - MIL-A-8625, Type III, Class 2 hard coat anodized.

    BARREL NUT SPECS

    - CNC machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum.

    - 2.25" in length, 1.36" in diameter.

    - 1-1/8" flats for tightening that accept wrenches, adjustable wrenches and crows feet less than .55" thick.

    - MIL-A-8625, Type III, Class 1 hard coat anodized.
